About Hugo Heathcliff

Hugo HeathcliffOriginally from the multi ethnic area of Southall, Hugo Heathcliff now works from Limehouse, the original Chinatown in East London, an area closely associated with the likes of Daniel Farson, Francis Bacon, John Edwards and their contemporaries as well as Dr David Owen MP and Sir Ian McKellan in more recent times. He was inspired by Van Gogh, Gaugin, The Breugels, Buffet, Hopper, Modigliani, Rousseau and many others. Much of the work is produced with acrylics to suit the bold “primitive/fauve” style.

Vegetables He worked in the Silk Screen Trade whilst continuing to sketch and paint, some of his original works are available to buy by request and most are available in a smaller size using a modern approach of reverse digital printing onto a transparent acrylic plaque which is easily affixed to a wall using two aluminium stand-off pegs requiring only one fixing point for convenience. Digital reproduction onto canvas stretched onto a wooden frame is also possible.
